For those who prefer something more capable, there is the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, which comes in three different output variants. The GLS 580 features a max output of 483 horsepower and it is the best choice in our humble opinion. Also, you can get the AMG version, with a max output of 603 horsepower, while the Maybach version comes with a max output of 550 horsepower.
All engines come in pair nine-speed automatic transmission, as well as with the EQ Boost mild-hybrid system.
