2023 Jeep Wrangler

The world’s most famous off-roader is currently available in a variety of versions and the current generation is still relatively fresh. That’s why we don’t believe that the 2023 Jeep Wrangler could bring more important updates. We are about to see a familiar layout and the only updates we are about to see are minor ones. We could see things like additions to the list of standard equipment, while new special editions are another thing we usually see with yearly updates of this model. Other than that, things will remain the same.

So, you may count on an SUV that is an excellent off-roader, which offers legendary style and flavor. Also, we like that there is a choice between two- and four-door models, while the range of versions on the offer is pretty wide. Also, there is a very generous powertrain offer, which starts with a familiar 3.6-liter V6 engine, and also includes turbo-four, V8, turbodiesel and plug-in hybrid variants.

Considering that there are no notable changes to come, we presume that the 2023 Jeep Wrangler will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of 2022.

2023 Jeep Wrangler Design

Design-wise, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler definitely won’t bring changes. The current generation has been around since 2018 and there is no doubt that the current generation will remain in production for a few more years. The mechanics definitely won’t change, while there is always a chance to see a new special edition or visual package on the offer. That’s something Jeep does pretty often, especially with this legendary SUV.

Still, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler will remain mostly about off-roading. All models are pretty capable, while the best-equipped variants come with a long list of off-road upgrades, such as skid plates, a transfer case, locking differentials, and a full-time four-wheel drive.

Interior

On the inside, things are just like you would expect to see in an SUV that puts off-roading at the top of its priority list. The dashboard looks attractive but mostly features hard plastics and other durable materials. Moreover, the whole cabin is waterproof.

As we already mentioned, there are two variants on the offer. The standard model comes with two doors and it isn’t particularly spacious in the second row. So, if you need a practical off-roader, you should better opt for the Unlimited model, which offers a significantly longer wheelbase and way more space in the second row.

When it comes to cargo capacity, the two-door model isn’t particularly generous. You may count on no more than 12.9 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 31.7 in total. The four-door model is far more competitive in this aspect, as it offers 31.7 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 72.4 cubic feet of the total cargo volume.

Features

Additions to the list of standard equipment are expected here and there but most of the things should remain the same as in the current model. So, base models should come standard with goodies like a 5-inch touch screen, an eight-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, and a USB port, as well as with manual windows and door locks, push-button start, a removable soft top with sunroof, and three 12-volt outlets. Additionally, you can get upgrades like a removable hardtop, a power-folding soft top, a forward-facing off-road camera, power windows and locks, air conditioning, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, remote start, 7- and 8.4-inch touch screens, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, satellite radio, HD Radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hot spot, additional USB ports, and navigation.

When it comes to safety features, the current model comes standard with a rearview camera, while you can also get goodies like blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, rear parking sensors, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.

2023 Jeep Wrangler Engines

One of the best things about Wrangler, besides fantastic off-road performance, is the wide engine lineup. This SUV is available in all kinds of powertrain variants. The base version comes with a 3.6-liter V6, which puts out around 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, which is even available with a manual gearbox, besides the standard 8-speed automatic.

The offer continues with a capable 2.0-liter turbo-four, which puts out 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The next one in the line is a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel, which is good for about 260 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque.

Last year, the company introduced a couple of new versions. One of them is equipped with a 6.4-liter V8 engine, which puts out 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of toque. The other one is a plug-in hybrid version, which puts out around 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.

2023 Jeep Wrangler Release Date and Price

We expect that the 2023 Jeep Wrangler will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of 2022. The two-door model should feature starting price of around 29.000 dollars, while the four-door Unlimited is expected to go around 33.000 in the most basic variant.
