The Blue Oval company has been selling the current version of the F-350, as well as the rest of the Super Duty lineup, since 2017 and while this truck still feels quite competitive, the competition is getting better as well. Therefore, it’s no wonder that Ford is working on the next generation of this capable pickup. From what we know so far, the all-new 2023 Ford F-350 will arrive by the end of this year. The test mule has already been spotted and despite the camouflage, we can see some of the novelties that are coming.
The new model will be an evolution of the current design. The overall layout won’t change too much but on the other hand, we will see a lot of interesting novelties. Of course, the company will bring out the new design, while we also have big expectations from the new interior. On the other hand, we don’t expect significant changes under the hood, even though some engine options may come with increased power and torque figures.
2023 Ford F-350 Redesign
As we’ve just mentioned, this redesign will be an evolution of the current design. In other words, we will see the same thing we see with the recently redesigned F-150 model. The 2023 Ford F-350 will ride on an updated version of the current platform, which utilizes lightweight materials like aluminum and HSS in a very big portion. However, we expect to see improvements in terms of the chassis and suspension setup, particularly in terms of the ride quality, considering that the current model lags behind the competition in this aspect, especially the Ram 3500. Of course, some improvements regarding towing and payload capacity are possible as well, even though the current model is already extremely capable. The max towing capacity goes all-away up to 37.000 pounds, while the max payload can go up to 7.850 pounds.
Of course, this redesign will also bring a new styling. The new look should take some inspiration from the redesigned F-150, but we also count on a lot of exclusive details, which will make this pickup look bolder and more muscular. Just like the current model, the new one should come in various configurations regarding cab styles and bed sizes. The current model comes in Regular Cab, Super Cab and Crew Cab layouts, and each version can be configured with either 6.75- or 8-foot bed.
Interior
Big upgrades should come to the inside as well. This particularly refers to the style and quality. The current model looks nice but rivals like Ram 3500 look way better. Therefore, we count on a more attractive dashboard design, nicer materials and new color schemes. Furthermore, we expect to see a lot of new tech features, including a massive infotainment screen, similarly sized to the one found in the F-150.

In terms of space, we don’t expect bigger differences. The new 2023 Ford F-350 should feature similar dimensions to the current model, so the amount of passenger space should remain the same as well, for each cab size.
2023 Ford F-350 Engines
In terms of powertrain, things should remain largely the same. We count on three familiar engine options, though we won’t exclude the possibility to see some of them with increased power and torque. Currently, the base 6.2-liter V8 puts out around 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The relatively new 7.3-liter V8 is good for 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque, and we believe that there is room for improvement in terms of power and torque.
Finally, there is the super-capable 6.7-liter V8 turbodiesel, which currently puts out around 475 horsepower and 1.050 pound-feet of torque. Of course, there’s always a chance to see some increase, which could also have an impact on the max towing capacity, which is already at a pretty impressive level. When properly equipped, the current generation with this engine features a max conventional towing rating of 24.000 pounds. With the fifth wheel and gooseneck plug, the max towing rating goes all-away up to 37.000 pounds.
2023 Ford F-350 Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2023 Ford F-350 will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year. When it comes to the price, base versions should go around 41.000 dollars.
