The current generation f Audi’s compact crossover has been around since 2018 and after the last year’s update, as well as the introduction of the Sportback version, it’s pretty much for sure that the next year won’t bring any particular changes. Instead, we expect to see a familiar design and that refers to all versions of the SUV, including the 2023 Audi Q5 Hybrid, which will continue with the same powertrain.

As the next year probably won’t bring anything more important, we know what to expect – familiar pros and cons of this compact SUV. This model still has a lot of great things to offer, starting from one of the nicest cabins in the class. Furthermore, the ride is well-balanced, while the list of standard and available equipment is pretty impressive too. On the other hand, the biggest complaints go to the small cargo area and relatively high starting price.

As there are no significant changes to come, we presume that the 2023 Audi Q5 Hybrid will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the next year.

2023 Audi Q5 Hybrid Design

Design-wise, the Hybrid version of this crossover isn’t much different than the rest of the lineup. Of course, the overall design is based on the company’s well-known MLB platform and not many things have changed since the initial launch. That means that you may count on familiar ride quality, which offers a great balance between comfort and athleticism. In this aspect, the Q5 seems capable of attracting both comfort-oriented drivers and those who seek a sporty ride.

Visually, the 2021 update has brought a lot of interesting novelties, especially at the front, where this model closely resembles the flagship Q8 model. Also, a couple-like version, the Sportback, debuted. So, it’s easy to conclude that the 2023 Audi Q5 Hybrid will bring no notable changes.

Interior

The same thing goes for the 2023 Audi Q5 Hybrid interior. It will remain pretty much the same and that’s not an issue at all. Moreover, the current cabin is one of the nicest in the segment. It combines conservative aesthetical solutions with high-quality materials and excellent build quality, while the amount of tech features is pretty impressive. All this makes the Q5’s cabin look pretty impressive.

On the other hand, things aren’t that impressive in terms of interior space, particularly in terms of the cargo area. The front seats are very generous and very comfortable, while the driving position is really good. The second row also accommodates adult passengers, though the Sportback model lacks headroom when compared to rivals.

The cargo area is the biggest issue, as it offers around 25.8 cubic feet behind the second row and a maximum of 54 cubic feet in the standard model. The Sportback is even worse, as it offers around  24.7 cubic feet of room under the hatch and 51.9 cubic feet of the total cargo volume.

Features

The list of standard equipment shouldn’t change much either. So, base models should come standard with goodies like a 10.1-inch touch screen, Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, two USB ports, HD Radio, a 10-speaker stereo, a Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless device charging, tri-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster display, a universal garage door opener, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Among upgrades, you can find things like satellite radio, navigation, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, proximity keyless entry, panoramic sunroof, 19-speaker audio system etc.

When it comes to safety, all models should come standard with goodies like a rearview camera, parking sensors, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning etc.

2023 Audi Q5 Hybrid Engine

This aspect definitely won’t bring changes and the 2023 Audi Q5 Hybrid will continue with the same setup, which recently came with a bigger battery pack. The system consists of a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine and a single electric motor, for a combined output of 362 horsepower. The system comes in pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission and offers pretty impressive driving dynamics.

As we’ve just mentioned, the battery has been increased to 17.9 kWh, so the all-electric range is now better.

Other than the hybrid version, the Q5 is also available with a couple of gasoline units, with the standard 2.0-liter turbo-four and options SQ5 that comes with a 3.0-liter V6 that puts out 349 horsepower.

2023 Audi Q5 Hybrid Release Date and Price

We expect that the 2023 Audi Q5 Hybrid release date will be scheduled for the last quarter of 2022. The current model starts at around 53.000 dollars and we don’t expect a bigger increase in the future. Key competitors will be similarly-priced versions of models like BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Volvo XC60 etc.
