It has been on the road for a while and from what we can see, the camouflage is present on both ends of the vehicles. At the front, we expect to see revisions in areas like grille and bumper. Also, the rear bumper will be reshaped, while we can also notice new, rectangular exhaust pipes. This sounds like a nice set of changes but we are pretty sure that all of them will be quite subtle. Simply, the current model already looks pretty attractive and follows the brand’s latest design language entirely.
A few more typical mid-cycle updates are also expected, in the form of new color options and wheel designs. On the other side, the mechanical aspect of the vehicle will rather remain untouched.
Interior
At this point, details about the interior design are still unavailable. Still, we are pretty sure that there won’t be too many of them. Most of the things are about to remain the same, as the current cabin already looks pretty nice. More importantly, the level of quality is surprisingly high for an Acura, so it’s hard to imagine any significant modification in this case. At this point, we can hear rumors that speculate about the possible hybrid version. If that happens, we presume such a version would use an upgraded variant of the system that powers the Accord Hybrid. The legendary sedan comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and three electric motors, making 212 horsepower of the total output. However, the officials are still quiet about the 2022 Acura RDX Hybrid.
On the other side, standard models will continue in the same way. We are talking about a refined 2.0-liter turbo-four, which puts out around 272 horsepower and 280 horsepower.
