2021 Nissan Rogue Redesign and Spy Shots
The compact crossover is vastly important for the Japanese manufacturer. It is one of the most popular SUVs on the market, so it’s no wonder that reports about the 2021 Nissan Rogue redesign draw so much attention. According to the latest reports, this should happen quite soon, in about a year.
Although we are still waiting for the official confirmation, this sounds logical. The current generation has been around for a quite long time, since 2013. Despite the current model still makes pretty good sales numbers, this is the most competitive segment on the market, so changes are definitely needed. Competition is getting stronger and more numerous every year, so we count on loads of changes. We expect to see a completely new design, with new styling, but also improved driving characteristics. Novelties under the hood are expected as well, while new tech features seem natural.
2021 Nissan Rogue Redesign
The upcoming redesign is about to bring a lot of novelties, that’s for sure. Simply, the current generation has been around for a quite long time and most rivals are much younger. The first thing that comes to mind is ride quality. The current model lags behind competitors in terms of driving dynamics. Also, the ride can sometimes be pretty firm. These are all the things that play an important role in this crowded market. Therefore, we count on big novelties in terms of chassis and suspension. We count on a new version of the familiar CMF architecture, which debuted with the current-generation Rogue. Improvements are expected in terms of the ride quality, but also terms of efficiency. The new model should feature better aerodynamics and also save some pounds.
When it comes to the exterior design, we probably won’t see significant changes in terms of dimensions, as the current model is already quite generous in terms of space and comfort. Still, minor changes in terms of wheelbase are possible, though proportions are about to remain pretty much the same.
On the other side, we count on completely new aesthetics. The new Nissan Rogue 2021 will come with the completely new styling. It will follow the brand’s latest design language, which includes a new version of the famous V-motion grille. Also, we count on a plethora of new styling details. We presume that a lot of inspiration will be taken from the recent X Motion concept, though we don’t expect such a sharp styling approach and those fancy suicide rear doors. We count on a more conventional approach, on a log of similarities with models like the new Altima. At this point, we can’t say anything more precise. Despite that the testing model has been on the road for some time and that there are numerous 2021 Nissan Rogue spy shots, the testing model is still completely covered.
The Japanese carmaker did a fantastic job with the current generation’s interior design. The cabin looks amazing and fresh, even after six years of production. The overall interior quality is great and the dashboard looks more opulent compared to much younger rivals. Also, the list of standard features is quite long and includes a plethora of tech goodies, including a pretty intuitive infotainment system.
All in all, we hope that Nissan engineers and designers will continue with doing a great job and that the new cabin will look even better, with the even better overall quality and more tech features. As we already mentioned, we probably won’t see bigger changes in size and the current model already offers a pretty impressive amount of legroom. The seats in the current model are pretty amazing and the things can only become better in the upcoming 2021 Nissan Rogue.
2021 Nissan Rogue Engines
One of the biggest complaints about the current model goes to the engine department. The current model isn’t particularly great in terms of driving dynamics. If features a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with around 170 horsepower. So, we count on something more powerful. Still, we are pretty sure that Nissan won’t drop this engine, particularly because of great mpg ratings. It will remain in base versions and could get a slight power boost. On the other side, higher trims could get some turbo-four options.
Finally, we count on a hybrid version. Nissan should offer a completely new system, based on a four-cylinder engine. More details should be known in the near future.
2021 Nissan Rogue Release Date and Price
We expect to see the 2021 Nissan Rogue in about a year, sometime in the second half of 2020. The current model starts at around 25.000 dollars and we don’t expect bigger changes in the future. As we’ve already mentioned, competition in the segment is extremely tough. There is a long list of potential rivals, but the key players in the segment are models like Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, VW Tiguan etc.
