Things on today’s market are happening pretty fast, so yearly updates aren’t a strange thing at all. Moreover, Lincoln practices this for a quite long time. Therefore, the 2020 model year of the flagship SUV already received some nice updates, despite the fact that we are talking about the model that was launched just two years ago. There is a much longer list of standard safety systems, as well as a couple of more interesting novelties. The 2021 Lincoln Navigator will come with updates as well.

At this point, we don’t know the exact details, but some reports are even suggesting mid-cycle refresh. Given the fact that the previous generation of Navigator was in production for a full decade, this may seem a little bit early to some. On the other side, we doubt that the current generation will last for so long, so such a scenario sounds quite possible. In any case, the 2021 Lincoln Navigator release date is about to be scheduled sometime in the second half of next year.

2021 Lincoln Navigator Possible Changes

The current generation of this luxury SUV has been around for just a couple of years. However, things are happening pretty fast on today’s market, so we may see a little bit bigger changes than you would normally expect for the fourth production years. We can find many reasons to believe in that but the first one that comes to mind is the fact that two completely redesigned models are around the corner. Of course, we are talking about Cadillac Escalade and Mercedes-Benz GLS.

Therefore, we believe there is a big chance to see 2021 Lincoln Navigator with notable updates, including styling changes. Of course, we don’t expect anything significant, as the current model looks pretty good and comes with a pretty classic design, which usually hard to improve more without a complete overhaul. We presume a couple of tweaks would come to the front end, in areas like grille, headlights etc. The rest of the vehicle though will probably remain unchanged. Of course, typical updates like new colors, wheels and similar things are expected as well.

Interior

When it comes to the interior changes, we don’t expect to see too many of them. Simply, the current model if full of hi-end materials and this is definitely one of the most opulent cabins you can find around. Therefore, we don’t expect any particular change in the 2021 Lincoln Navigator, with just one exception. Some experts believe that the upcoming model could come with an updated infotainment system. The current one operates on a large 10-inch touchscreen and it works great. Intuitive controls and super-easy navigation the highlights, but graphics could be better. That’s why we may see improvements in the 2021 Lincoln Navigator.

On the other side, the rest of the cabin will remain the same. This SUV offers a spectacular level of comfort. The ride is cushioned, while the amount of space is impressive. All three rows are adult-friendly, with plenty of legroom. Also, the cargo area is huge. If that’s not enough, you may opt for a long-wheelbase version which measures spectacular 131.6 inches in wheelbase. In this model, cargo volume goes over 120 cubic feet.

Features

This is the aspect where we can see some interesting novelties. Yearly updates are all about new standard features, so we may expect the same from the 2021 Lincoln Navigator. The current, 2020 model year came with notable additions in terms of safety features, so Lincoln’s Co-Pilot safety suite is now standard across the whole range of models.

For the 2021 Lincoln Navigator,  we may see a couple of additions in terms of tech features, though we have to say that the list of standard equipment is already impressive. All models come standard with things like 10-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, navigation, six USB ports, satellite radio, a 14-speaker stereo, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and wireless device charging.

2021 Lincoln Navigator Engines

Changes under the hood won’t come. The 2021 Lincoln Navigator will continue with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, which is good for about 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. With such numbers, this huge SUV runs with ease, while a 10-speed gearbox ensures a super-smooth and convenient ride.

Also, fuel economy is at a pretty decent level, as the engine returns around 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. When properly equipped, the Navigator can tow up to 8.700 pounds, which is some of the highest ratings in the class.

2021 Lincoln Navigator Release Date and Price

Given the possible updates, there is a big chance to see 2021 Lincoln Navigator a little bit earlier than usual. Most reports suggest the third quarter of the next year. When it comes to the price, the current model starts at around 76.000 dollars and we don’t expect bigger changes in the future.
