2021 Infiniti QX60

The popular luxury crossover has been around for a quite long time and despite that the styling still looks pretty attractive, some aspects of the vehicle are getting old. That particularly refers to things like interior and ride quality. Therefore, we expect to see a completely new model in the future. However, the 2021 Infiniti QX60 redesign won’t happen, despite the rumors. More likely, the new model will arrive in the second half of the next year, as the 2022 model. Therefore, this will probably be the last production year of the current generation, which has been introduced in 2012.

As we are talking about the last production year, it would be hard to expect any particular changes. Of course, there is always a possibility to see a couple of novelties in terms of standard features, but most of the things are expected to remain the same. This particularly refers to the overall design, to the interior design and engine. Therefore, expect to see this model sometime in the last quarter of the year.

2021 Infiniti QX60 Design

In terms of base design characteristics, things will definitely remain the same. This means the 2021 Infiniti QX60 will ride on a good-old D platform and share lots of parts with the Pathfinder, especially in terms of mechanics. On the other side, the aesthetical aspect of the vehicle comes in a typical Infiniti manner. You can easily see Inifinit’s familiar styling solutions, which is no wonder, considering that the model was updated a couple of years ago. For that occasion, we saw a lot of interesting novelties, starting from a new face, rear fascia etc. All int all, things will remain pretty much the same in the 2021 Infiniti QX60. Some reports suggest we might see new color options, while bigger changes definitely won’t happen.

Interior

When it comes to the 2021 Infiniti QX60 interior, things are also about to remain the same. The current model features nice but also a little bit outdated interior. It’s not hard to notice a pretty outdated dashboard design, as well as the fact that many areas feature subpar materials’ quality. Also, the QX60 feels outdated when it comes to tech goodies, especially when it’s about the infotainment system, which isn’t particularly modern and also lacks things like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

On the other side, the aspect where QX60 really shines is interior space. AS you probably know, this is a three-row crossover and all three rows are quite decent in terms of space. With more than 114 inches in wheelbase, this crossover ensures plenty of legroom in the first two rows, while the third row is also spacious enough to accommodate adult passengers. Finally, there is a pretty decent cargo volume. You may count on about 16 cubic feet behind the third row, while the overall capacity goes over 76 cubic feet.

Features

As we already mentioned, there is always a chance to see a couple of novelties in terms of standard equipment. Still, we are pretty sure that most of the things are about to remain the same. This means base versions will come with goodies like an 8-inch screen, moonroof, eight USB ports, Bluetooth, satellite radio, HD Radio, and a six-speaker stereo. In higher trims, you can also get things like an 8-inch touch screen, Amazon Alexa, navigation, a premium 13- or 15-speaker Bose sound system and more.

When it comes to safety, all models come with things like a rearview camera, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and blind-spot monitoring. Additionally, you can get more advanced systems like adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, a surround-view parking camera system, moving object detection, Active Trace Control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning etc.

2021 Infiniti QX60 Engine

Things under the hood are also about to remain the same. You may count on a well-known 3.5-liter V6, which is good for about 295 horsepower, which is more than enough to provide decent driving dynamics. The engine comes with a CVT gearbox, which works surprisingly smoothly. Moreover, the obvious advantage of such a gearbox is a good fuel economy. In this case, you may count on quite decent 20 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway.

2021 Infiniti QX60 Release Date and Price

Since we are talking about a vehicle that will probably be the last model year of the current generation, which probably won’t feature any particular change, the launch date should be scheduled for a typical time of year, sometime late in the year. Base models should go around 44.500 dollars. Key competitors will be models like Lexus RX, Acura MDX, Volvo XC90 etc.
