Although the current generation has been around for just a couple of years, the Korean manufacturer already prepares a facelift. According to the latest reports, the third production year will come with big novelties. We are about to see a mid-cycle refresh, but it looks like the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe will be much more than just an aesthetical update. We could see novelties under the hood as well, while additions to the list of standard equipment seem like a certain thing.
The current model is already pretty competitive on the market, as it offers good ride quality, comfortable and well-made interior, loads of standard equipment and more. However, there are also some drawbacks, which will company tend to fix in the near future. Therefore, the new model is about to get electrified powertrain, as well as a new, even more attractive styling. On the other side, the base layout is expected to remain pretty much the same. When it comes to the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe release date, we expect to see the new version in the second half of the year.
2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Exterior
When it comes to the exterior design, we count on notable styling updates. The current model already looks pretty nice and it is already a big step up compared to the previous generations of this model. However, the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe facelift will bring to a completely new level. At this point, we don’t know the exact details, but some renderings have already appeared. Whether these photos are true or not, we can predict some of the base design characteristics of the new model.

Of course, most of the changes will hit the front end, where we expect a lot of influence from the new flagship model, Palisade. The other end could come with a couple of tweaks as well, while we also count on typical updates, such as new color options, new wheels etc.
2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Interior
One of the interesting things about the current generation is that it comes only as a five-seater and the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe will continue in the same way. Most likely, we won’t see too many interior changes in the next year. The company will rather focus on the exterior design, but that’s not a bad thing at all. Moreover, the current cabin looks pretty upscale. The dashboard is great both in terms of aesthetics and materials.
Also, the cabin offers a pretty decent amount of interior space. Both rows are very comfortable and you will definitely enjoy spending time in this crossover. On the other side, a big complaint goes to the cargo area, which is one of the smallest in the class. You may count on 35.9 cubic feet behind the second row and 71.3 of the overall cargo space. Most rivals offer more.

Features
This is also an aspect where we expect to see a nice number of additions in the next year. Still, the core will probably remain the same, as the current model is already pretty good in this aspect. All models come standard with things like a 7-inch display, Bluetooth, four USB ports, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Higher trims offer things like dual-zone automatic climate control, a 12-speaker Infinity audio system, satellite radio, HD Radio, an 8-inch touch screen, navigation, wireless device charging and some of these goodies could become standard in the next year.
The current model really shines in terms of safety. All models come standard with goodies like a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, driver drowsiness monitoring, and lane keep assist. Additionally, you can get a head-up display, a surround-view parking camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
It’s Electrification Time!
One of the biggest novelties of this update should be a new, hybrid powertrain option. The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid will come with a new system, based on a 1.6-liter turbo-four engine. Allegedly, the new system should be super-clean, while a max output is expected to go around 220 horsepower. We are still waiting to hear something from the officials on this matter.
On the other side, the rest of the lineup is expected to carry on in the same way. This means that base models will continue with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, which is good for about 185 horsepower. However, the optional 2.0-liter turbo-four seems like a much better choice, as it delivers around 235 horsepower.

2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Release Date and Price
The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe release date will be scheduled for the second half of the year, though we are still waiting for more precise details. When it comes to the price, we don’t expect bigger changes compared to the current model, which starts at around 26.200 dollars. On the other side, the price tag for the hybrid model is still a mystery.
