The compact SUV segment is one of the most interesting in the automotive industry. Also, it is one of the most competitive classes. Therefore, Honda must stand out from the rest of the crowd with each new model. The upcoming 2021 Honda CR-V will help the company to build a strong image and recognizable styling.

This model is part of the gift generation, introduced back in 2017. Well, the 2021MY will keep the majority of the design and mechanics form the current version. But, there will be some changes and updates. 2021 CR-V provides better cargo space than any other crossover in the class. 2021 Honda CR-V will be available on four different levels: LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring. The standard engine across all four trim levels is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder mill, which generates 190 hp and 179 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes with a standard continuously variable automatic transmission. Furthermore, the FWD system will also be a standard configuration, while the AWD is optional.

Let’s start with the base model. The CR-V LX offers a 5.inch central display, a 4-speaker sound system, automatic climate control, and the Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver safety. Next, the EX comes fairly more equipped. You’ll find a sunroof, push-button start with keyless entry, blind-spot monitoring, and heated front seats as standard.

Moreover, the EX adds a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple Car Play/Android Auto smartphone integration as well. The EX-L includes leather upholstery, an 8-speaker audio system, and a power liftgate. The range-stopping Touring adds LED headlights, integrated navigation, heated steering wheel, and a premium 9-speaker audio system.

2021 Honda CR-V Hybrid

The hybrid version f the CR-V crossover brings a combination of a 2.0-liter Atkinson petrol engine and two electric motors. The hybrid produces a total output of 212 hp, and the AWD will be the standard system. The estimated fuel economy is 40/35/38 mpg. The regular model returns 27 city/32 highway, except for the EX-L (28/34 mpg).

Furthermore, the CR-V Hybrid offers three driving modes: EV Drive, Hybrid Drive, and Engine Drive. An interesting thing about this particular model is that when the car is left on its own devices, it will automatically decide which driving mode is best for the given situation and conditions.

The starting price of the hybrid model won’t differ much from the 2020 version. The starting price will go from $28,900 for the LX Hybrid, up to $36,000 for the Touring hybrid model. destination charge is included in the price.

2021 Honda CR-V Release Date and Price

The brand-new 2021 Honda CR-V will arrive in the dealerships in the Fall of 2020. As we mentioned in the first paragraph, the starting price of the base LX version will be $26,500. The EX comes with a price sticker of $27,650. The optional AWD system adds around $1,500 to the sum.

Furthermore, the EX-L starts just above $30,000 (FWD). On the other hand, the range-topping Touring starts around $35,000. The main competition to the Honda’s crossover will be Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, and Subaru Forester.
