That itself is a clear signal to Wrangler fans that something different coming their way. Next to it is the big D and a smaller “diesel” engraving, surely now, the long-awaited diesel Wrangler will hit the streets in the near future.

The EcoDiesel engine is already in use, with Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ram 1500. For these two vehicles, it produces 250 hp and 420 pound-feet of torque. The company is aware that the fans want a low-end torque in a factory-built Wrangler, and they will try to make it as soon as possible. Although there’s no official announcement, we expect that the Jeep will bring the diesel option later this year, with the start of the 2020 model sales.
