The brand-new 2020 Infiniti QX60 is a very functional blend of elegant style, safety, and overall usefulness. This mid-size luxury crossover SUV is perfect for long distance travels, and the passengers really can relax and enjoy the trip in a spacious and quiet cabin. Moreover, the upcoming model will get major changes for the exterior, to improve aerodynamics and maintain the distinctive visual appearance.
On top of that, the company shifts the focal point on the comfort and the interior design as well. The third-row seats are now much more accessible, and the upgraded transmission works perfect, to provide the overall luxurious feel. The well-executed redesign will improve the chances of the Infiniti on the growing market, especially taking into account that the competition is very strong. The main rivals of 2020 Infiniti QX60 will be Lexus RX 350, Buick Encore, and Acura MDX.

Redesign
The exterior for new 2020 Infiniti QX60 will remain pretty much the same. So, expect the elegant and charming fascia shape, that will maintain the amazing look of the previous version. Moreover, there will be a couple of additional exterior features, and the cabin will get a makeover, to ensure the highest level of comfort. The profile is covered with chrome strips and the roofline is slanted towards the rear end. Some critics say this is a little too aggressive approach for the roofline design, but let’s face it- it’s a growing trend for the 3-row SUVs. Furthermore, the tailgate ends in the rear, making a very graceful and cool-looking curve.
The interior is upgraded as well, with all kinds of switches, buttons, and knobs, but they are arranged nicely and will be easy to use. The infotainment knob sits in the central part of the dashboard, near the actual analog clock. A little touch of old-school decoration, just to break the monotony of this very pleasant cabin. Also, the upcoming Infiniti QX60 will include heated outside mirrors, heated front seats, and power-adjustable driver seat. All seats will be upholstered with soft and delicate synthetic leather, to fit with this classy interior.

2020 Infiniti QX60 Changes
For the upcoming 2020 Infiniti QX60, the Japanese company will bring new safety equipment. New packages will include blind spot monitoring, predictive forward-collision warning, and forward emergency braking. Next, Infiniti’s ProAssist package will be available with a lane-departure warning and assist, adaptive cruise control and rear sonar system. The new Infiniti QX60 will come in two trim levels. The base model is Infiniti Pure, very well-equipped vehicle, with a decent amount of technology improvements. The Pure will include 18-inch wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen, and five USB ports, as a part of the standard package. The second trim option is Infiniti Luxe. We shall give a more detailed commentary of both trims later in this review. Also, the customers may choose between front-wheel or all-wheel drive system.
When it comes to the interior of this vehicle, it’s all about comfort. In the front, you’ll find a lot of headroom and broad elbow and shoulder room. The central armrest is also very commodious and nicely designed. Moreover, the second row now offers more legroom and can be slid back about 5.5 inches. The only problem you’ll face in this cabin is the lack of headroom space in the second row. The third row provides enough space, even for a couple of grownups, if they squeeze a bit.
Configurations
The 2020 Infiniti QX60 will come in five different versions. Apart from the base model, we will see two higher-trim levels, each with AWD and FWD engine option. The entry-level model, Infiniti Pure offers the same drivetrain as the previous version, but with noticeable better-equipped cabin and updated exterior. Moreover, Pure includes electronically-controlled CVT with manual shift mode as well. This feature provides sequentially selectable gearshift, to ensure an even smoother ride. Furthermore, the Infiniti Drive Mode Selector gives the driver choice between Standard, Sport, Snow, or Eco Mode. Throttle response and transmission mapping also can be managed. Standard equipment for the Pure trim level includes 18-inches triple 5-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels and T165/90D18 tires.
Unique exterior features for Pure are automatic on/off bi-functional LED highlights, LED daytime running lights, and integrated LED front fog lights. The rear side is furnished with LED rear brake lights and high-mounted stoplights. On top of that, with Pure you’ll get a power-sliding tinted moonroof, with one-touch auto-open/close. Of course, you can go for the additional package that includes tri-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry and ignition, a six-speaker sound system with satellite radio and much more. The Luxe trim adds rear bumper protector, roof rails, a 13-speaker Bose audio system, and different kinds of materials for the interior. The biggest difference between these two is the option packages. The Luxe trim offers Essential, Sensory, ProAssist, Theater, ProActive and Limited package. These packages are exclusively available only for the Luxe model. In addition, you can get 20-inches wheels and unique tires.

Specs
The forthcoming 2020 Infiniti QX60 is not usual, modern-day SUV. Under the hood of the new model will be only one drivetrain option. The mid-size crossover will have a 3.5-liter V6 engine, that can produce 295 hp and 270 pound-feet of torque. The upcoming Infiniti records impressive 6,400 rpm, and it accelerates from 0-60 under 7.1 seconds. For a vehicle this size, it’s almost a perfect score.
The achievable top-speed of 2020 Infiniti QX60 is 120 mph. The towing capacity is set to 5,000 lbs. The EPA city/highway fuel economy for the new model is 19/26 mpg and 22 mpg combined. Front-wheel-drive figures are not much different, 20/27/22 mpg. The standard gearbox is automatic, but CVT with manual transmission is available as well.
2020 Infiniti QX60 Release Date and Price
The arriving 2020 Infiniti QX60 will come with a starting price for the Pure model just around $45,000. However, if you choose additional features and the Luxe trim level, the price can easily top the $65,000 mark. With these prices, the upcoming model should compete Audi Q7, Acura MDX, and BMW X5.
