In terms of mechanics, there is a completely new platform, ready to come in a special version for this model. Compared to the previous one, it will bring improvements in various aspects, including significant weight savings, despite the fact Ram won’t go fully aluminum and HSS, like some rivals. Besides the lighter body, the new model will come with a new chassis layout. It will bring improvements in ride quality as well, making the 2019 Ram 2500 one of the most comfortable models in the class.
2019 Ram 2500 Styling
In terms of the styling, the new 2019 Ram 2500 will follow the brand’s new design language, though with notable modifications. Although the testing model still wears a camouflage, we can clearly notice some differences compared to the base 1500 models. A kinda different shape follows a slightly reworked hood, while the headlights design is about to keep the same layout. In this aspect, we don’t expect bigger surprises. The 2019 Ram 2500 should continue in a familiar way, with three engines in the offer. The base engine will be a familiar 5.7-liter unit, which delivers around 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. Another gasoline engine will be in the offer, also with eight cylinders. It is a familiar 6.4-liter V8, which is good for about 410 horses and 430 pound-feet of torque. Finally, count on a super-capable 6.7-liter inline-six turbodiesel unit with a max power of 370 hp and 800 lb-ft. Further modification one engines are possible, so we could easily see more power in the new generation. When it comes to 2019 Ram 2500 towing capacity, we expect even better results compared to the current generation, which is capable of towing more than 18.000 pounds.
2019 Ram 2500 Release Date and Price
When it comes to the 2019 Ram 2500 release date, there is no doubt that the new generation will come in the next year. Still, a more precise launch date is still a mystery. On the other side, we are pretty sure that the new model won’t go far away from the current one in terms of price. This would mean that base versions should go around 32.500 dollars.
